Alzheimer’s Journey Certificate Program
Offered exclusively by Camden County College at the Joint Health Sciences Center in Camden, The Alzheimer’s Journey Coordinator Certificate program provides the education and clinical training needed to assist caregivers to recognize, understand, and treat the symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. More than 170,000 New Jersey residents are living with Alzheimer’s disease. This first-of-its-kind program is comprised of four courses offered part-time over three semesters. Students will also be placed in healthcare settings throughout southern New Jersey to complete 90 hours of fieldwork. Free tuition and related expenses provided to eligible New Jersey residents.
What does an Alzheimer’s Journey Coordinator do?
• Enhance the quality of life for people living with Alzheimer’s disease
• Support caregivers and family members of those experiencing dementia
• Become the missing link to help people navigate a complex healthcare system
• Connect people living with Alzheimer’s disease to resources in the community
• Act as a community advocate and promote awareness and education
• Empower caregivers through education, skills training, and support services
